Cook Time:

Serving Size:

Ingredients

8 ounces dry elbow macaroni
2 tablespoons Tillamook® Unsalted Butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 1/2 cups (10 ounces) Tillamook® Medium Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided

Preparation

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15-20 minutes

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly butter a 2-quart shallow baking dish.

In a large pot, bring 3 quarts of water to a boil. Add 2 1/2 teaspoons salt and macaroni. Cook according to package directions, stirring occasionally. Pasta is done when it is slightly chewy to the bite or al dente. Drain pasta in a colander and set aside.

Prepare sauce while pasta is cooking. In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook 3 minutes, whisking constantly. Gradually add milk and bring just to a boil, whisking constantly. Reduce heat and simmer, whisking often, until sauce slightly thickens, 4-5 minutes. Add salt, pepper and 2 cups of cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Remove pan from heat and fold in pasta. Pour into prepared baking dish then sprinkle top with remaining cheese.

Bake 15-20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and top begins to brown. Let sit 5 minutes before serving.

Here's an idea.....copy and paste the recipe into a word doc and print it that way?? Just a thought!

BTW, this recipe is great! =)

I thought this was really good. The bake time is more like 30-35 minutes if you would like it brown on top. Otherwise, wouldn't change a thing.

Geez Louise this was GOOD.....I need to get it out of the house b4 I eat the whole dish (I am a single guy).
I changed it a bit and it all came out PERFECT. I added about a teaspoon of dried onion, a good few shakes of cayenne pepper, plus alot of black pepper. I put 2 12 oz. Tillamook cheeses inside - Sharp Cheddar & one Medium Cheddar. 3 cups of milk, maybe about 4 T of butter, and 4 T flour -- it was divine. Not too spicy for anyone. The onion gave it a beautiful flavor. In the oven for 30 minutes until it came golden on top. I don't think I'll do anything different the next time. I really don't think this needs breadcrumbs either. So simple plus my modifications and it came out exactly as I imagined.
Thanks

Haven't tried the recipe, yet. The recipe and my printer worked just great... but, oh aren't we all so frustrated by technolgy at times.

I tried printing your recipe and nothing happened. Someone mentioned pop-up blockers,I turned mine off and it still did not print. I know it's not my printer. I have printed other recipes from different sites in the past ex:( taste of home)and never had a problem. This aggravates me!
You put in "print recipe" and nothing happens. Why have this option on your site if does not work. Your site has good receipes, what good are they if you can't print them out.

Hello,
I think the print button uses a pop-up window. If your web browser has pop-up blocker, it may not allow it to print?

A couple of years ago I make a recipe
of Jamie and Bobby's. It was a
Baked Mac and Cheese dish. The
recipe was easy,I am unable to
find it. Is there anyway I can
look or find past recipes.
